- Clear Assets: $150,000
- Liquidity: $50,000 to $100,000
- No personal or corporate bankruptcy filings

Most of our franchisees have used the Small Business Administrations 7(a) program. They require 15% to 30% cash and the balance collateralized by property.
Q. How much does it cost to open a Pizza Schmizza?
A. Between $256,200 and $355,800. These costs include the $25,000 franchise fee and all of the expenses the Federal Trade Commission requires us to estimate including working capital, training expenses (meals and lodging), utility deposits, advertising and so forth.

- Must complete training requirements
- The mental and physical capacity to manage a fast-paced QSR (quick service restaurant)
- We are looking for people who have a lot of drive and energy but can work within the structure of a system.
- One of the franchisees must run the first restaurant
Q. Where can I develop a Pizza Schmizza?
A. We are focusing on the following states:
- Arizona
- California
- Colorado
- Idaho
- Montana
- Nevada
- Oregon
- Texas
- Utah
- Washington
- Wyoming
Q. Can I own more then one Pizza Schmizza?
A. Certainly! However, we'd like to see most new franchisees own one, get it running smoothly, and then enter into multi-unit agreements. If you have restaurant experience or a background with other franchises we will make a decision case-by-case.
Q. Does Schmizza help with site selection, building lease, tenant improvements and equipment purchase?
A. A lot of our competitors will sell you a franchise; pat you on the back, and send you on your way to find a location. We at Schmizza realized a long time ago that one of the most important decisions you will ever make is the location for your first restaurant.
Letting Schmizza help find a site for you has several advantages. Most franchisees have never found a location, submitted a letter of intent, or negotiated a lease. At your request, we will do all of these things and more at no additional charge!
Schmizza offers one of the most comprehensive packages in the industry. We have negotiated with contractors and vendors to get you the best prices we can find to keep your opening costs at a minimum. We work closely with the general contractor and equipment vendors to keep everyone on task and on the same page. We do this on your behalf and we receive no income for this service. It is our belief that in the long run it is more important to have happy franchisees.
Q. Does Schmizza provide training?
The other critical variable to your success is your ability to manage the restaurant. Our training is 35 days of intense pizza boot camp. Before we let you out of training you not only know the details of our operation, you can implement them. You'll know that you can manage every aspect of your store including your employees, your bookwork, your POS (point of sale) system, inventories product quality, marketing and more.
Q. Does Schmizza provide ongoing support?
A. We at Schmizza are dedicated to your ongoing success. We help you open your new stores, and periodically visit your existing stores to help you keep your operational standards at the highest level. All of our stores have computers and an internet connection (high speed internet where available). This means that we are always available for your questions or concerns and we're never more than an email or phone call away.
Q. Does Schmizza provide grand opening support?
A. We start off by creating a marketing plan with you not only for the grand opening but for the next 6 to 12 months. Once your store actually opens, we will be with you every step of the way. We will help you train your crew and operate the store. Our goal is to make you self sufficient before we leave.
Q. Does Schmizza derive income from the product purchases that franchisees are required to make?
A. No. Neither Schmizza nor its affiliates derives any income from products or services purchased by franchisees from third parties. We negotiate on your behalf and all savings flow directly to you! When given the choice of lower prices or rebates, we opt for lower prices. In the event the rebates are "take it or leave it" we distribute them to franchisees unless the amount is so small that it becomes cost-prohibitive to do that. In that case we will add the rebate to the National Advertising Fund.
Q. How much money will I make?
A. That depends on you and your abilities. Schmizza provides a proven system and it is up to you to implement it. Also, Schmizza is under the jurisdiction of the Federal Trade Commission and does not make an earnings claim. It is up to you during your due diligence to contact our franchisees to learn about our cost and profit structures. We can help you formulate questions and we will disclose a list of all our franchisees.
Q. How do I proceed if I am interested in owning a Pizza Schmizza franchise?
A. Just follow the five easy steps outlined under Getting Started!
